GLO Maker

GLO Maker 2 is an authoring tool for creating media rich learning objects. The learning objects can be accessed from the Web or the desktop. Since its release in August 2009 it has been downloaded in some 700 institutions in over 50 countries. The tool is free. It can be downloaded from the GLO maker web site (http://www.glomaker.org/) which also supplies support in terms of examples, guides (including Camtasia movies)

At the core of good learning objects is good design. The learning designs are expressed explicitly in the tool. They provide the framework for creating new multimedia learning robjects.

The learning objects are easy to adapt to suit local needs and preferences. Simply load a learning object back into the tool, make the required changes and save the new adapted version.
